      by Molly McKinney

Tony Winford cheats Death the first time around, but Death isn’t done with him.  The World War II Royal Air Force pilot returns to Africa on medical leave to put his Spitfire bailout behind.  During the train journey from Cape Town to Northern Rhodesia a witch doctor sells him a crocodile carving, implying it has magical powers.  Tony has no clue how soon his skepticism will be challenged.

In his home town of Ndeki, Tony plans to help out at his uncle’s hotel and start a flying service but right away he runs into problems that keep growing worse.  Beautiful Julia looks too young for him, but he flirtation with Cliff makes him jealous.  When Tony rents Cliff a fishing cabin, he opens a can of worms involving national security and his pal Death, ready to get even.

Inspired by the author’s memories of growing up in Southern Africa.  Crocodile Tale captures the heartbeat of a dramtic era in a fast-paced adventure spiced with humor.  Compact in size and price, this book packs a punch as a unique and affordable gift.
