Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival
The Playwrights Foundation is very proud of our biggest annual program, the Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF). Each year we open submissions to all playwrights writing in English and living in North America. The deadline for consideration for the 2010 BAPF is coming up quickly. Please send your play in before November 30, 2009.
Through an open-submission process, we welcome submissions of full-length works by all playwrights working in the U.S. This is our primary vehicle through which we discover new voices and maintain connection with the ongoing work of alumni, finalists, graduating MFA’s and new submitting writers.
Submitted plays are considered for inclusion in all of our play development programs (where appropriate):
Through this process we seek to gain a depth of familiarity with the work of a large range of playwrights and expose those writers to our advisory committee and creative partners. We very much look forward to reading your newest work! Click here for more information and specific guidelines. |
