CEDO
The mission of CEDO, the Intercultural Center for the Studies of Deserts and Oceans, is to advance and share knowledge about the Upper Gulf of California and surrounding Sonoran Deserts and promote conservation and sustainable use of its natural and cultural resources.
CEDO is a Natural History Resources Center and Biological Field Station. The Center is strategically located in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico at the margin of two recently established marine and desert Biosphere reserves. CEDO serves the many cultures and users of this bioregion by developing and implementing reserach, conservation, and environmental education programs, and materials that enhance the protection of these ecosystems.
