SHOP TALKS provide a study packet, and no advance knowledge of the poet or works discussed is required. Poetry Center Docent and Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA grad Tony Luebbermann leads this Talk on David Wojahn’s work on Tuesday, January 18 at 6 p.m. Wojahn is a professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University and an alum of the UA Creative Writing MFA program. A CLOSER LOOK BOOK CLUB meets on the red couches in the Poetry Center gallery. We’ll will meet on Thursday, January 27 at 6 p.m. to take on Cormac McCarthy’s masterwork, Blood Meridian, which chronicles the brutal world of the Texas-Mexico borderlands in the mid-nineteenth century.
