“CRYING BLOOD is a thoroughly engrossing evocation of life on a self-sufficient 1915 Oklahoma farm. In Alafah Tucker, mother of ten, Donis Casey has created a clear-eyed woman of her time… This is my first meeting with Alafair Tucker and her family. It will not be my last.”- Margaret Maron, Edgar, Agatha, Anthony, Macavity Award winning author

“Powerful as a blue norther sweeping across the Creek Nation, CRYING BLOOD is a gripping entry in Donis Casey’s superb Alafair Tucker series. Casey depicts family ties that uplift and support and family ties broken by anger in a poignant, lyrical, authentic novel of early day Oklahoma.”- Carolyn Hart

Anita Kellman R. T. (R) (M), Founder
Anita has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and is a clinical liaison for patients undergoing biopsies and other procedures. Through her work, she meets cancer survivors every day- in various stages of treatment and recovery- and most of them are looking for a way to cope more effectively. Beginning in 2001, Anita attended boot camp classes and learned Navy Seal exercises, and in 2004 she adapted these techniques to start an intensive support group built around physical fitness instead of “woe is me.” Anita shares her knowledge, experience, and infectious enthusiasm. She is recognized throughout the Tucson community for her contribution to cancer awareness and women’s health.
