Staying Busy at Abingdon!
Reading of TEMPLE OF THE DOG!
THE TEMPLE OF THE DOGThe Temple of the Dog
Monday, June 27, 2011 7PM
by Tom Dillehay
Set on a Middle Tennessee farm, the drama depicts 18 year old Ben’s yearning to escape his abusive and oppressive home and to be his own man. With a mixture of the poetic and cruel violence, the play dramatizes Ben’s struggle to break free even, if it means sacrificing the youth and innocence of Rickey Lee who will replace him as caretaker of the crippled Taylor and emotionally dependent, Wanda.
