Listen, Learn, Delight!
We’ve been listening! Based on your feedback, we’ve scheduled our events an hour earlier. Please note that most of our readings and lectures start at 7:00 p.m.
Join us for our Fall 2011 Readings and Lectures series, which includes poetry readings by Pulitzer Prize-winning poets Philip Schultz and Carl Dennis; UA faculty member Barbara Cully, readings by Thomas Sayers Ellis, Mary Jo Bang, and Joni Wallace, and a reading for Sing, a multilingual collection of Indigenous American poetry.
This fall we present lectures by Joshua Marie Wilkinson and Charles Alexander, and Prose Readings by faculty members Manuel Muñoz and Chris Cokinos; and Joan Silber and Timothy Schaffert presented by the UA Prose Series.
A Closer Look Book Club takes on themes of apocalypse and rebirth. Join us on the red couches to discuss works of fiction including ORYX AND CRAKE by Margaret Atwood and FIGHT CLUB by Chuck Palahniuk. Shop Talks include “The Poetry of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen,” and, in advance of their readings, “The Poetry of Thomas Sayers Ellis” and “The Poetry of Mary Jo Bang.”
