New Play Institute’s New Playwriting Classes For Fall 2011
San Francisco is so beautiful in the fall, why don’t you use this inspirational season to jump-start your creativity!! We have an exciting and diverse line-up of instructors teaching at the New Play Institute.
Starting Sept. 28
NEW SECTION ADDED IN SF: Award-winning playwright Anthony Clarvoe teaches I think I (maybe…kind of…sort of…might…no, do…) Have the First Draft of a Play! (Now what do I do?) IN SAN FRANCISCO. Each class period will offer specific tools and techniques to address revisions and rewrites, and give the tools you need to submit finished work once you’re done. Here’s the catch: there are only three spots remaining of twelve total. This class will sell out, so be sure to register ASAP.
Starting Oct 3
Margot Melcon, Marin Theatre Company’s resident dramaturg, will follow up her popular dramaturgy class by offering this advanced section: Principles of Dramaturgy II: Tackling your own script. You’ll act as both dramaturg and playwright by applying basic principles of dramaturgy to your own work. Register now.
Oct 8-11
