Pan Left Productions- We are the 99%! We will unite in Phoenix! And see “Under Arpaio”

We are the 99%! We will unite in Phoenix!

The great fortune of being in Arizona in this moment in history is that is there are plenty of opportunities for building a stronger movement for justice now more than ever. The recent events of Occupy Wall St. have spread all over the country and in both Phoenix and Tucson people are responding to get active and take to the streets. However, for many of us in Pan Left and those involved with “Under Arpaio” we have been no strangers to getting active in the fight for human rights in our community. That is why it was such a perfect coincidence that scheduling for “Under Arpaio” in Phoenix on November 5 just happened to coincide with The 99% Unity Fest at ASU Civic Space in downtown. Organizers for the fest have now included the screening as part of the activities for Saturday. We hope that this will mark a great moment in sharing with the Phoenix community the film and our stories, so that we may create stronger alliances in our effort to make change that respects humanity and the rights of all people. It will be an exciting this Saturday for sure. Please come if you can to the free screening with a Q&A panel afterwards that will be hosted by Puente and ASU MEChA. Both Director J.M. Aragón and Producers Mary Charlotte Thurtle and Sean Fowlkes will also be present at the screening and throughout the day at the festival to talk and share as well.
