The Society of Southwestern Authors’ Feb. 19, 2012 Forum Hosts Harvey Stanbrough: THE ADVENT & FUTURE OF ePublishing!
Those of you who have heard Harvey speak before know we’re in for a great presentation. Do you ever wonder about all the fuss regarding epublishing or digital publishing? What is it? How can you do it? Can you epublish and print publish simultaneously or must you choose? Is digital publishing a passing fad or is it here to stay?
In the SSA Forum on February 19, Harvey Stanbrough will answer these questions and many more, and he is uniquely qualified to do so. Harvey’s poetry collection, LESSONS FOR A BARREN POPULATION, was the first full-length original poetry collection published as an ebook, and that was back in 1999. Digital publishing has been around ever since, and today approximately 20% of American households own at least one dedicated e-reader, not including laptops and cell phones.
Harvey’s talk will include a handout with links to valuable information and resources, along with a free e-book. Don’t miss this one!
Remember, our forums are now at 11am and will be $25 with registration ($30 at the door). Call in your reservation to 546-9382 or e-mail ssabrunches@gmail.com by Wednesday Prior (in this case, February 15).
Forums are held at Four Points Sheraton (Speedway and Campbell Tucson, Arizona) 11am-2pm.
