NWU READING AND OPEN MIC ON APRIL 16, 2012
The next NWU reading and open mic will be on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at Fronimo’s Greek Cafe in mid-town Tucson. This month the topic will be “Letters to the Editor.” NWU members David Ray and Greg Evans will discuss the art, technique, and political importance of writing letters to the editor. Both David and Greg have had numerous letters published by local publications such as the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Weekly, as well as by national and international publications ranging from the New York Times to The Guardian of England.
The evening will start at 5:30 or so, for those who want to have dinner; the reading will start at 6:15. After the reading there will be an open mic (spoken word only). Fronimo’s Greek Cafe is at 3242 E. Speedway Blvd., which is on Speedway just past Country Club (heading east) and is located in a small strip mall next to the Walgreens. Parking is in the rear and can be accessed by exiting Speedway at the Walgreens and then proceeding to the mall.
