Society of Southwestern Authors- Hosts Jo Russell at July 21, 2013 Forum FORUM SPEAKER BRINGS HUMOROUS ANSWERS FOR NEVER GIVING UP
Humorous author and speaker Jo Russell brings a message for writers to persist and never give up, no matter what the challenge. The seasoned author routinely answers life’s persistent questions, such as “How can write when the toilet is overflowing?” and “How can I create when my right hand stopped working?”
Published over four decades with magazine and newspaper articles on all subjects, Russell contributed to CHICHKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL and several other anthologies. She authored WHICH BUTTON DO YOU PUSH TO GET GOD TO COME OUT?” (2010), with a second edition on Kindle 4/2013. Aside from ghostwriting in marketing, web copy, speeches, and book promotion, Russell continues to pursue her own projects- two other non-fiction books are currently in the works.
Now in its third year, her humorous weekly blog (button-to-god.com) keeps her worldwide audience giggling.
Russell brings advice for authors to persist writing through floods, flying saucers and falling into fissures. Besides encouragement, she offers tips for time management, keeping the money coming in, and promotion within the writing/speaking business. She is a certified Toastmaster and popular motivational speaker.
Jo Russell graduated from the University of Arizona and retired from both education and the building, but never from both education and the building trades, but never from writing. She lives in northeast Arizona.
