Arizona Authors, one of the oldest nonprofit writers’ organizations in the Southwest, serves as an information and referral center for the community, helping and supporting local authors statewide.

Its members are published and aspiring authors, poets, jouralists, columnists, magazine editors, illustrators, literary agents, publishers and printers.

Several critique groups function among the members. The Association maintains a website and offers its members a newsletter, workshops, meetings, festivals, and seminars at various locations around the state.

Members may advertise free in the newsleter and at friendly rates in the ARIZONA LITERARY MAGAZINE.

The Association sponsors a contest open to all who write in English with both published and unpublished categories. A banquet and awards presentation coincide with the yearly publication of ARIZONA LITERARY MAGAZINE.

Arizona Book Publishing Association- INVITATION TO JOIN THE ABPA BOOTH AT THE TUCSON FESTIVAL OF BOOKS

Mar. 13-14: Invitation to Join the ABPA Booth at the Tucson Festival of
Books

ABPA invites you to display and sell copies of your books, and even schedule
an author signing, in their booth at this year’s Tucson Festival of Books.
Following are some highlights about what is planned. If you are interested,
contact Robert Casler (rcasler@ag.arizona.edu, 520-621-7177) for more
details.

-       ABPA will be hosting a reception Saturday evening, 6pm-8pm.
- To display books, people will need to register at the website. Cost is $35
per title and they will need to send in 5-10 copies of the book.
- Author signings will also be made available. $10 for 50 minutes, beginning
at 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday. One signing
per publisher (unless spots remain unsold). We will promote the author/title
via social media avenues and on our website, and submit information to
Tucson Festival for them to promote as well.
- All registration and information will be conducted via the website
(www.AZBookPub.com). You will receive directions on where to send books, etc
after you have registered.
- This is an ABPA member opportunity. If not an APBA member, you need to
contact the executive director (gwen@AZBookPub.com, 480-777-9250) and
demonstrate your case for involvement. While APBA members have first
opportunity, non-members will be allowed to participate if it does not
dilute the professionalism of an ABPA-only booth.
- We will be accepting cash and checks only at the event for book sales, no
credit cards. All funds will be deposited into ABPA’s bank account, and
checks will be distributed to those who made money after a thorough
accounting of sales (less taxes) has been made by the President and
Treasurer of ABPA.
- We would like to have 4-8 people from Tucson help staff the event. The
goal is to have two people for each of four time slots: 9am-1pm Saturday,
1pm-5pm Saturday, 9am-1pm Sunday, 1pm-5pm Sunday.
