      38th Annual Wrangling With Writing: FULL CIRCLE- WRITING, EDITING, PUBLISHING

      Fall is just around the corner, and so is “Wrangling with Writing Conference.”  Top publishers, authors, agents, editors, and keynote speakers will be descending on Tucson September 24-26 2010.  We have planned workshops in many genres and topics.  With 48 of them, we have something for everyone!  We also have 3 agent/editor panels.  Our keynote speakers this year are all best-selling authors: Dr. Allan Hamilton, Stephanie Elizondo Griest, and Bob Mayer (read more about them on our website.) 

      We also have a book room where attendees and faculty can sell their books and network.  It’s a wonderful place to hang out, meet people, and get some excellent, up-to-the minute advice and reading pleasure.  If you are attending the conference, or are on the faculty, and you wish to reserve space to sell you books, please contact Ken Graun at Ken@KenPress.com.  Book room space is limited to 44 authors, so make sure you get your reservation in soon. 

      Conference registration for SSA members is $300, which includes 5 meals-all buffet style.  Non-member price is $360.  Teachers receive the same rate as SSA members.  Also available are one-one-pitch sessions with agents and editors, for $20 each- we will also have two “book doctors,” a website marketing consultant, and a video book trailer consultant. 

     SSA members can also attend the Friday night faculty dinner for an additional $50.  It is another great opportunity to network and to meet the “Wrangling With Writing” faculty. 

      We will also offer 3 scholarships to deserving attendees.  One scholarship is a full one and other two are partials.  An essay on “Why I Love to Write” is required to receive a scholarship.

      This is Wrangling with Writing’s 38 annual Conference, and it has a reputation for being one of the nation’s most affordable conferences.  This year we have concentrated on bringing you the best bang for the buck.  We have on our faculty many award winning best selling authors, agents, and editors with the best reputations.  The agents and editors who are coming are accepting new material, and all of the faculty is going to give you the best marketing, writing, editing advice, and the best possible opportunities to sell your work.  At past conferences we have had many attendees who have signed up with an agent or publisher.  What makes WRANGLING WITH WRITING so special?  We offer advice for all different types of writing and publishing, and we give you the lates tips and information about the changing publishing world.

University of Arizona Legal Research and Writing Program- Presents the 2010 Rocky Mountain Regional Legal Writing Conference

       2010 Rocky Mountain Regional Legal Writing Conference

      The James E. Rogers College of Law is delighted to host the tenth annual Rocky Mountain Regional Legal Writing Conference, which will take place on March 19 and 20, 2010.   The plenary speaker will be Professor Judy Stinson, immediate past president of the Association of Legal Writing Directors and Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program at Arizona State University.   Professor Stinson will speak on “Teaching Legal Writing from a Different Perspective.”

      Registration and some sessions will take place on Friday afternoon. Saturday will feature the plenary address and a full day of sessions. Information about the call for proposals is available on the Proposals page.
