Don’t miss out on Issue 25: Unraveling the Dark. This special poetry issue features the finalist poems from our annual Janet McCabe Poetry Prize as well as the winning and second place poems selected by finalist judge Li-Young Lee. It also features a moving essay by Tarn Wilson, a short story from Tony Woodlief, striking visual art from three different artists, and a book review of Shann Ray’s American Masculine. As always, you’ll also find our lively notes from our contributors and readers–this time they share their thoughts on shadows and unraveling the dark. Order here!
We’d also like to introduce the 2012 Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize recipient: Nicole Rollender.
Finalist Judge Li-Young Lee called Rollender’s poem “Necessary Work” “a memorable poem, powerfully realized and emotionally true.” You can read “Necessary Work” and more of Li-Young Lee’s comments in Issue 25.
Happy reading and happy fall!
