Jan Cleere- AMAZING GIRLS OF ARIZONA: TRUE STORIES OF YOUNG PIONEERS, best young adult nonfiction

      Jan Cleere’s latest book, AMAZING GIRLS OF ARIZONA: TRUE STORIES OF YOUNG PIONEERS, published by The Globe Pequot Press, was named best young adult nonfiction for 20o9 by the Arizona Book Publishing Association  (Glyph Award).  The book was also a Finalist in the 2009 Arizona Press Women’s Communications Contest and a Finalist for the 2008 National best Books Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.  Jan’s other two books are also winners.  OUTLAW TALES OF ARIZONA: TRUE STORIES OF ARIZONA’S MOST FAMOUS ROBBERS, RUSTLERS, AND BANDITS placed first nationally in 2007 in the National Federation of Press Women’s Communications Contest, and MORE THAN PETTICOATS: REMARKABLE NEVADA WOMEN was a Finalist for the 2006 WILLA Literary Award.  For morer information, go to www.Jancleere.com
